What an assessment covers

We evaluate each tree for the things that predict failure: root-flare condition and soil heaving, trunk defects, cavities and fungal indicators, union geometry, deadwood load, lean history, and crown health against the species’ norm. Each tree gets a condition rating, the specific concerns, and a recommendation with a timeframe: monitor, prune, cable, or remove. You get it in writing, with photos, in language an insurance company or a township board can use.

When people order one

Buying a home The inspector checks the furnace, not the 80-foot oak over the primary bedroom. An assessment prices the tree work into the purchase instead of into your first storm season.
The neighbor dispute A written condition report on a boundary tree turns an argument into a documented fact, whichever way it goes.
After a scare A limb dropped, nothing was hit, and now you look at the whole yard differently. One visit answers whether that was bad luck or a warning.
HOAs and businesses Documented periodic assessment is how associations and commercial properties manage liability. We run scheduled programs with per-tree records.

Independent means honest

An assessment from a company angling for removals is a sales visit with a clipboard. Ours are priced as standalone work and written as if a second opinion will read them, because sometimes one does. When the honest answer is that the scary-looking tree is fine, that is what the report says, and it is often the cheapest good news a homeowner gets all year.
